MAP Pricing Enhancement
What is MAP? MAP is short for Manufacturer’s Minimum Advertised Retail Price (MAP). It's basically the prices that manufacturer's approve their products to be sold at. But of course if you found your way to this template enhancement for Yahoo! Stores then you probably already know that.
The dilema... how do you compete with all those authorized and unauthorized resellers selling their items at below MAP prices? Well, you could do what they do by displaying the price you want to sell at and probably lose the product line and/or get your site closed down ...OR... you can have us customize your templates so that the price is hidden from view while allowing you to provide an "instant price quote". An instant price quote is not advertised on the page but is determined as an item is added to the shopping cart. In almost all the sites that we have worked with it has been reported to us that this will usually meet any MAP restrictions because the price is not "advertised".
Here is what we do...
We'll modify your templates in such a way that allows you to display only the retail pricing while hiding the actual price difference if any exists. The price the item is selling for at any given moment will only be displayed by adding the item to the shopping cart. These prices are as easy for you to update as creating a sale-price in your store editor... you type in a price and click on update. Our templates will do the rest.
